Fridays from the Ocean
Catching the wind and the sun
If you’ve been following along on Instagram, you’ll know I’ve been away with my mama, sailing around Italy, France, and S
pain. It’s my mother’s birthday, and I took her for some wobbly nights at sea and some sun-kissed days on land. We’ve been visiting farms, went truffle hunting in the woods outside Forcoli, ate plenty of Sicilian Red Prawns from Mazara del Vallo, and met some wonderful growers and chefs. And gave away plenty of my Summer Olive Oil on the way.
Right now, I’m sitting on the boat, looking out over the port of Ajaccio, in Corsica. Tomorrow we take a long sail over to Palma and the Balearic Islands — where Harvey and I were a few weeks back with our friends, laying the groundwork for a project in Ibiza with farmers next summer.
